MICHAEL HUGHES and Ben Watson have extended their contracts to stay at Crystal Palace.
Northern Ireland international HUGHES was only offered a one-year deal despite having a fantastic campaign last year.
He scored scored the crucial penalty shoot-out kick against Sunderland to book Palace a place in the play-off final. Despit having other offers from Championship clubs, he decided to stay at Selhurst Park.
"I have always wanted to continue my time here as Palace is a great club and I have enjoyed it here immensely," said the 32-year-old. "The contract is now over the line and I can now concentrate on the job in hand which is playing matches."
Academy product Watson penned a four-year deal after impressing for the first team and reserves.
The 18-year-old rejected an initial offer by Palace last October, but was pleased to agree on improved terms and commit his future to the club.
